The Council provides solicited and unsolicited advice to the Minister of Justice &amp; Security on matters of police education and training in the Netherlands. The Council uses input from the Police Academy, the Police and other stakeholders in police education as well as regular vocational and higher education. In addition, the Council is a dialogue platform for parties directly or indirectly involved in police education and training in the Netherlands. A small bureau provides administrative and secretarial support to the Council.<\/p>\n\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"sd-block-title \">\r\n            <h2 class=\"sd-block-title-htag  marginbottom-30px align-left\">\r\n                Areas of concern\r\n            <\/h2>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"sd-block-text  marginbottom-30px\r\n        \">\r\n            <p>The Police Act 2012 assigns the following tasks to the Council:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To maintain and improve the Dutch Police Qualifications Framework for police education and training regarding developments on the labour markets<\/li>\n<li>To advise on the quality requirements for learning on the job<\/li>\n<li>To stimulate a good working relationship between on the one hand police education and training and on the other hand regular vocational and higher education<\/li>\n<li>To advise on the four-year agenda for policing research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"sd-block-title \">\r\n            <h2 class=\"sd-block-title-htag  marginbottom-30px align-left\">\r\n                Working committees\r\n            <\/h2>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"sd-block-text  marginbottom-30px\r\n        \">\r\n            <p>Four working committees have been created within the Council:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The working committee on Qualifications<\/li>\n<li>The working committee on Police Education and Training<\/li>\n<li>The working committee on Research<\/li>\n<li>The working committee on Shielded Qualifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each committee analyses and discusses topics within its remit and presents its findings to the Council as a foundation for the Council\u2019s advice to the Minister of Justice &amp; Security.<\/p>\n\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"sd-block-title \">\r\n            <h2 class=\"sd-block-title-htag  marginbottom-30px align-left\">\r\n                Membership\r\n            <\/h2>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n        <div class=\"sd-block-text  marginbottom-30px\r\n        \">\r\n            <p>Members of the Council and the working committees are drawn from the Police, the Police Academy, the police unions, the Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office, public administration, vocational education and higher education. The Council has an independent chair and vice-chair.
